The 2026 Legislative Session is just around the corner and your voice is more important than ever.

Join your colleagues, the New Mexico Medical Society and the Greater Albuquerque Medical Association on Wednesday, January 28th for White Coat Day, a day for physicians, residents, and medical students to come together and advocate for healthcare in New Mexico.

Whether you’re a first-time participant or a returning advocate, your presence helps shape the policies that impact your patients and your profession.

The day begins at 8:00 a.m. with a networking breakfast and policy briefing, followed by guided and independent visits with legislators. Participants will have opportunities to attend committee hearings, be recognized during the floor sessions of the House of Representatives and Senate, and engage directly with policymakers.

8:00 a.m. - Networking Breakfast & Coffee

8:30 a.m. - Policy Briefing & Legislative Overview

8:45 a.m. - Legislative Visits & Advocacy

11:00 a.m. - Recognition by Senate & House of Representatives (State Capitol Galleries)

12:00 a.m. - Legislative Visits & Advocacy (State Capitol)

1:00 - 2:00 p.m.  - Lunch & Networking

2:00 p.m. - Continued Legislative Visits & Advocacy

4:00 p.m. - Adjourn
